Vervo Middle East is among the finalists of the "Landmarks in Logistics" 2022 Awards

Vervo Middle East has been selected among the finalists for the Landmarks in Logistics 2022 Awards. We have been featured on the Logistics Gulf News platform among the top three best start-ups and digital freight forwarders of the year. We are going to be in the official ceremony at The Address Dubai Mall Hotel's Diamond Ballroom on Thursday, September 22, 2022. Find below more about the event and Vervo Middle East’s initiatives in Dubai.

The Logistics Gulf News is the region's fastest-growing news and media platform. It focuses on logistics, supply chain, transportation, and related businesses. Logistics Gulf News has a front-row seat to the shipping sector in the Gulf region due to the platform's commitment to representing the industry.

The Landmarks in Logistics 2022 Awards, an annual event in Dubai, is a remake of Logistics Gulf News. The event aims to honor, reward, and celebrate top achievers in the logistics and supply chain industries. Those top achievers are businesses that meet the highest industry standards and benchmarks on multiple criteria. These measurable criteria include performance, operational efficiency, digitization, going the extra mile, customer convenience, and compliance with sustainability objectives.

The three finalists have been selected and listed in no particular order on the Logistics Gulf News platform with their respective award categories.

A high-level, three-member jury, reflecting the best expertise and professionalism in the business, examines and evaluates the nominees. Alex Borg, Robin Vermaat, and Juan S. Garza are the three jurors that individually and jointly reviewed and judged each proposal.

Mr. Vishvanath Shetty, Director, AARYA Media Group, stated: "Our esteemed jurors did an incredible job studying every application and then meticulously reviewing the nominees to narrow down the three finalists," he continued.

Vervo Middle East is among the finalists as the Rookie of the Year

In the past few years, the UAE has witnessed an emergence of start-up logistics and supply chain companies founded by skillful and motivated entrepreneurs who seize opportunities as they arise. COVID-19 drove the logistics and supply chain businesses to embrace new technology, leading to innovative breakthroughs that transformed the industry.

The award recognizes and encourages innovative logistics start-ups to grow further and establish safer, cleaner, and highly efficient supply chains. At Vervo Middle East, we consider a flexible, asset-light, tech-based foundation essential for an effective logistics business model. Our agile model enables us to react rapidly to shifting dynamics.

Vervo Middle East is among the finalists as the "Digital Freight Forwarder of the Year"

The introduction of digital freight forwarding (DFF) has transformed the logistics sector. The traditional model is proven to be time-consuming and error-prone. Furthermore, it is not as environmentally friendly as DFF. At Vervo Middle east, We can deliver more efficient and cost-effective services to our customers and partners by digitizing many of the operations related to freight management.

(DFF) saves time and resources by reducing the need for physical work. Digital shipping entails more than merely organizing and controlling cargo delivery using digital technologies. It is an integrated feature of sustainable shipping. Vervo Middle East streamlines numerous cargo shipping operations through DFF, freeing up time to deliver a more customized service to our clients. Online technologies and Internet applications help us track shipments, coordinate with suppliers and customers, and manage cargo paperwork.

At Vervo Middle East, we believe that digital freight forwarding makes delivering cargo more simplified. Vervo Middle East CEO Maris Dreimanis stated, “That agility of our business model and the adoption of tech-driven infrastructure helped us grow in Dubai with Vervo Middle East as a part of the Vervo Group." "Our digital business model allowed us to scale smoothly." He continued.

Digital shipping doesn’t only refer to operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness; it also leads to higher customer convenience and visibility, besides environmental friendliness.

Since implementing a new climate-neutral approach by 2050, under the leadership of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE has achieved significant contributions to digitizing the economy. Today, the UAE is one of the most connected countries. This connectivity has been a crucial driver of digital transformation, guided by the aspirational vision of the government.

    UAE: An example of success!

The country’s adoption of digital and green policies to transform its economy and diversify its resources has proven the efficiency of that approach. The same applies to the business world. If a business wants to evolve, it should invest more in its tech-based infrastructure. We can tell that digital freight forwarding relates to the UAE's growth. A software system used to manage and track exports, automate documentation, and offer real-time insight into the supply chain is an integral part of DFF.
